Following a traumatic incident during his residence, the young medical student James Hayman (Namir Smallwood) is transferred to a rural hospital. Noting that James is struggling and has difficulty in relation to patients, Dr. Harrison (veteran on stage and Michael Potts screen actor) suggests that he takes a focused class and facilitating deeper relationships with patients. Demons of James’s past begin to catch on to him when he becomes consumed by the case of a young patient with asthma (Sidney Flanigan, never sometimes sometimes) with mysterious symptoms. His influenza on reality begins to slip as his disturbing nightmares, anxiety fueled speculations and physical injuries collide with the harsh realities of the drug world. Director Alex Thompson assembles a powerful set of veterans actors in his pursuit at Saint Frances and precursor of Ghostlight-in this humanist and unconventional vision.
